Birthing Shakti: Houston, TX

I am a birth worker deeply passionate about creating and holding sacred space for birthing people and all who resonate with the abundant, cyclical, and creative energy of the womb. Through community, I’ve deepened my capacity for self-love and love for others, trusting in the healing that arises from shared spaces. My path to womb work and birth work has been a journey back to my truest self, unearthing the innate wisdom that my body, and all bodies, hold. I root my birth work in body wisdom, yoga, ritual, herbalism, astrology, divination, and the cyclical living in harmony with nature’s and the universe’s rhythms. I draw deep spiritual insight and wisdom from my Nepali ancestry, and I am especially inspired by the global veneration of goddesses and the divine feminine. I believe each circle holds the power of a radical revolution, where we come together as a community to honor, respect, and listen to the stories our bodies carry. Bearing witness to the metamorphic beginnings and endings of our siblings in circle allows us to sit in reverence for life itself. When we collectively choose to prioritize joy and pleasure in all aspects of life, we begin to dismantle the shackles of shame and guilt that society coerces us into building around ourselves. I am honored to bring my heart, soul, and presence to this collective and to the sacred space of birth.
